Game 5 of the World Series, Matt Harvey was facing the Royals in a must win game for the Mets. This picture was taken after he got the final out in the 8th inning, 3 outs away from advancing to a game 6. It was one of the greatest pitching performances I have ever witnessed. The next inning the crowd was so crazy chanting "HARVEY HARVEY HARVEY!" that against the managers wishes Matt ran back out there, and unfortunately lost the shutout he was throwing. Which led to the Royals taking the lead and winning the World Series. This picture to me, shows that even though these guys make so much money they too are human and show emotion. Matt was purely dominate that night and if I could ever pick a game to attend, it would be this one. To experience that pure, raw outburst of emotion from my idol would have been the greatest moment of my life.
